Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) intends to block a resolution passed in the House of Representatives demanding that special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian collusion be made public — unless the Justice Department appoints a special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton's emails.
In a series of tweets announcing his decision on the non-binding resolution, Graham said that it's "past time for someone to look at the other side of the political coin."
As Washington Post reporter Dave Weigel noted, Graham was referring to DOJ's handling of the Clinton email investigation.
Per the senator's statement, he also wants the Justice Department to investigate "the abuse of the FISA warrant process against [former Trump campaign aide] Carter Page."
No House Republicans voted against the resolution to demand the Mueller report be made public, though some voted "present," a vote that is entered as neither a yes or no.
