Police have ruled the death of Taemon Blair, 21, as a suicide, however, the family suspects foul play and claims that he was lynched, reported Fox 46 Charlotte News.

"We just want him to get justice. That's all we want. We just want to find out exactly if somebody did it who did it and why, and we want to open it back up to see," Dee Smith, Blair's older brother told Fox 46.

Blair died on March 16, according to police in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

"The Cause of Death is Asphyxia due to Hanging, and the Manner of death is Suicide," a statement from the Allen Country Coroner's Office said.

However, the family refutes this claim and thinks that he was lynched. A GoFundMe page set up has raised more than half of it $10,000 goal to support the family.

"But something in my heart told me that he didn't commit suicide. He was 6'5, I thought to myself, how could he hang himself inside of a truck when he's so tall," Smith said.

The news about the death caught the attention of Hip Hop artist T.I. and others on social media who are calling for a full and thorough investigation.
