Stacey Abrams: Trump’s attacks on Obamacare ‘proves Republicans lied’ about wanting to protect your health

Former Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams told MSNBC on Wednesday that President Donald Trump's all-out attack on the Affordable Care Act showed that Republicans "lied" when they promised to protect Americans' health care -- and promised keep the heat on them throughout the 2020 campaign.

"I think they completely misread what happened in 2018," Abrams said of the Republicans' electoral loss. "2018 was about the conversation of how do we live as Americans and take care of each other."

"What this decision does is it says that 'we lied,' that the Republicans who said they would fight for health care and would defend preexisting conditions, that they were not telling the truth," Abrams continued. "And they will be reminded of that in 2020 if this proceeds."
