Trump calls Democrats anti-Jewish -- despite past support for 'both sides' of Charlottesville neo-Nazi debate

It's been one year and seven months since President Donald Trump said that there were "fine people on both sides" of the Charlottesville, Virginia riots. A crowd of neo-Nazis and white supremacists marched through the streets with tiki torches chanting "Jews will not replace us."

Yet, despite that, the president said, "The Democrats hate Jewish people." Oddly enough, the overwhelming majority of Jewish elected officials are Democrats.

According to Axios, the remarks were made at a fundraiser where Trump said he didn't understand how any Jew could vote for a Democrat these days. Trump said he's done more for Israel than any other president, though he didn't clarify what all he's done other than moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.

Trump also appeared to make "jokes" about blackface and secret services agents stationed outside of the White House in the bitter cold during the shutdown where he was locked away inside.

"Trump described opening his curtain to look at Secret Service agents swarming the White House lawn," Axios reported.

"They're in the trees, on the lawn," Trump said. "They're in blackface."
