Without having read a single page of special counsel Robert Mueller's report on his investigations, former Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski claimed total vindication on Saturday.

In a Washington Post interview, Lewandowski boldly declared that the special counsel had vindicated President Donald Trump.

“This is a vindication for the president and his family that after one year, 10 months and six days the Mueller report is concluding something which we already knew, which is there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians,” Lewandowski told the Post.

That message appears to be trickling down to Trump's base.

The newspaper interviewed Trump supporter Paula Magnuson who had gathered at a Florida bridge to cheer the presidential motorcade as Trump returned to Mar-a-Lago after golfing with Kid Rock at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.

“I’m relieved that it’s finally out and it vindicates our president,” Magnuson said. “Hopefully the Democrats will let it go now.”
