On Wednesday, Attorney General William Barr signaled that he was launching an investigation into whether intelligence officials had overstepped by surveilling the Trump campaign.
Congressman Ted Lieu (D-CA), who sits on the Judiciary committee, appeared on CNN Thursday to denounce Barr's probe.
"With every passing day Bill Barr looks less like an independent thinker and more like a pawn of the president," said Lieu.
