CNN's Chris Cuomo on Thursday dropped the hammer on the Trump White House's efforts to put a positive spin on special counsel Robert Mueller's report on Russian interference during the 2016 presidential election.
While discussing the Mueller report with Cuomo, CNN's Jim Acosta said that White House counselor Kellyanne Conway claimed that she had never heard the president use foul language while talking about the Russia investigation -- and Cuomo immediately jumped in to knock that down.
"It is time for that stuff to end," Cuomo said of Conway's spin. "The report is out, we know what they say he said. They could spin all they want and they're telling all of us there is nothing in this -- that is b.s. and they know it!"
Cuomo said it was fair for White House officials to say that the president had not been accused by Mueller of conspiring with Russia to interfere with the 2016 presidential election -- but the special counsel uncovered a lot of evidence that the president tried to obstruct justice.
"If they say there is no proof of wrongdoing by the president or anyone around him, they're in for a long life of quotes being thrown in their face," he said.
