Twitter jeered at right-wing pundit Candace Owens after her appearance at the House of Representatives' white nationalism hearing went sideways when one Democrat played a clip of her saying Adolf Hitler wanted to "make Germany great."

In the clip, played by Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA), Owens is heard saying that it would have been "fine" if the Nazi leader had "just wanted to make Germany great" — and that it went sour because he "had dreams outside of Germany."

"The problem is that he wanted — he had dreams outside of Germany," the pundit said. "He wanted to globalize. He wanted everybody to be German, everybody to be speaking German. Everybody to look a different way.”

Owens is seen fuming while Lieu played the audio during the televised House Judiciary Committee hearing — an image many users were quick to pick up on.

NBC News reporter Ben Collins, a specialist in far-right organizing online, noted that Owens' testimony was "wildly disingenuous" and "a Stephen Miller special."
