MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace filled in for Brian Williams Monday just after the president's son-in-law appeared on Fox News. Wallace couldn't help but laugh at Jared Kushner's claims.

Kushner told host Laura Ingraham the special counsel's investigation "nonsense" and "an embarrassment to democracy."

"So, this guy talking about embarrassment for our country, I need, like, 47 more minutes," Wallace said chuckling.

"This is the guy that couldn't get a national security clearance, but his father in law weighed in," Wallace said, detailing some of Kushner's biggest mistakes. "He used WhatsApp to talk to world leaders. I mean, please, an embarrassment to the nation is nowhere near Robert S. Mueller and his investigation."

Bloomberg editor and columnist Tim O'Brien also recalled that Kushner courted Chinese investors to bail his family out of a bad deal on a skyscraper in Manhattan.

"And the circumstances around that have never gotten fully resolved," he said. "They only backed away from dealing with Chinese investors during the transition because it became public through reporting. And he held meetings Russians and when he was asked by the Congress, 'Did you ask for money for finance for the building' and he said 'no.' I'm not convinced necessarily that was truthful."

However, he explained that Kushner's truth was never tested publicly on that fact.

"I think there's a lot to look at in Jared Kushner using the powers of his office and proximity to the president to feather his own nest," he continued. "Whether it's through business relationships in the Middle East with Asia or Russia and that hasn't played out a very rich and robust way, and the country has a right to know whether he's been an honest broker in all of that."
