Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-PA) on Thursday took a big swipe at Attorney General Bill Barr -- and she even compared him to longtime Trump "fixer" Michael Cohen, who is due next month to report to prison.
During an interview with CNN's Alisyn Camerota, Dean slammed Barr for trying to downplay the importance of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
"Let's remember -- this is an investigation [where] this administration and a tremendous number of people around this president have wound up prosecuted, convicted, have wound up serving time or are about to serve time," she said. "I think what we're seeing with Attorney General Barr is confusion. He's not acting as the attorney general."
It was at this point that Dean dropped the comparison to Cohen, who once said he would "take a bullet" for Trump, but who last month testified before Congress that the president is a fraud and a cheat.
"He's acting... maybe like another fixer for the president!" Dean said of Barr. "That is not his role. I again ask: What is this administration afraid of?"
