President Donald Trump on Thursday told reporters that House Democrats seeking his tax returns will have to speak to his lawyers and the attorney general to get them.
"They'll speak to my lawyers and they'll speak to the Attorney General," Trump told reporters, per CNN's Abby Phillip.
As CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller noted, the latest request for Trump's tax returns were made to the Internal Revenue Service and not through his attorneys or the Justice Department.
