On Friday, just ahead of his trip to the Southwest border, President Donald Trump held a press conference in which he aired his ire at his former lawyer Michael Cohen and the US immigration system.
Trump called for an end to chain migration and current policies surrounding visas. He also demanded that the immigration system use fewer judges.
"Now, Congress has to act," the president said.
"They have to get rid of catch and release, chain migration, visa lottery. They have to get rid of them because it doesn't work. And frankly, we should get rid of judges. You can't have a court case every time somebody steps their foot on our ground. So very important that Congress acts."
