President Donald Trump demanded an investigation of special counsel Robert Mueller and his political enemies, ahead of the release of a report he insists will clear him of criminal wrongdoing.

The president issued a tweet Monday morning attacking Mueller ahead of the release of Attorney General William Barr's redacted edition of the special counsel's findings.

"Mueller, and the A.G. based on Mueller findings (and great intelligence), have already ruled No Collusion, No Obstruction," Trump tweeted. "These were crimes committed by Crooked Hillary, the DNC, Dirty Cops and others! INVESTIGATE THE INVESTIGATORS!"

Barr told lawmakers last week that he believed an investigation was warranted into the origins of the probe of Trump's campaign ties to Russia, and he claimed U.S. law enforcement engaged in "spying" against Trump and his campaign, although he admitted he had not seen evidence of that.
