Trump will need a 'picture slideshow' to actually understand Mueller's report: CNN panel

New York Times columnist Frank Bruni on Wednesday mocked President Donald Trump over reports that he wouldn't even bother reading special counsel Robert Mueller's report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

During a panel discussion on the Mueller report, host Alisyn Camerota said that one source has told CNN that Trump will go "bonkers" if he sees some of the things that members of his own administration have told Mueller.

However, she also said it's possible that Trump will never know about this testimony, as some officials have told CNN that Trump's team of legal experts plan to read the Mueller report and then inform Trump about its contents so he won't have to slog through it himself.

Bruni laughed at the president's total lack of curiosity to read a report that he has claimed completely exonerates him.

"I'm laughing because we keep hearing the president prefers pictures to words," Bruni said. "I imagine someone doing a slideshow with captions, 'Here is what the report says.' He doesn't have the discipline or span of attention."
