The chair of the House Judiciary Committee accused Attorney General Bill Barr of "trying to blackmail" Congress during a Wednesday press conference.
Barr has announced he will be refusing to appear before the committee on Thursday because he does not want to be questioned by anyone other than a member of Congress.
"He is trying blackmail the Committee into not following what we think is the most effective means of eliciting the information we need," Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) said.
"I think that’s the reason he is not coming, he is terrified of having to face a skilled attorney," Nadler concluded.
