On Wednesday, NBC News reported that President Donald Trump has signed an executive order entitled, “Securing the Information and Communications Technology and Services Supply Chain”:

The order, which aims to secure U.S. information technology services, comes in the wake of numerous stories of electronic data breaches by both hackers and foreign governments, although it is unclear what it will involve.
Trump has grown increasingly bold about employing national emergencies to expand his executive power, most notably having declared one at the southern border to facilitate military construction of his border wall after Congress rejected his proposal and he lost a month-long shutdown battle to obtain the funding from them.
