Meghan McCain brutally mocks Bannon after he attacks Romney for not joining the military: 'Who the hell are you'

Meghan McCain went all out against former White House strategist Steve Bannon on Wednesday's episode of "The View."

At a rally in Alabama Tuesday, Bannon attacked former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA) because Romney got religious exceptions for the draft during Vietnam. Romney's sons have also not served in the military, because they too follow their father's leadership in the Church of Latter Day Saints.

"You hid behind your religion. You went to France to be a missionary while men were dying in Vietnam. Do not talk about honor and integrity," Bannon said. "You ran for commander in chief and had five sons — not one day of service in Afghanistan or Iraq. We have 7,000 dead and 52,000 casualties, and where were the Romneys during those wars? Judge Roy Moore has more honor and integrity in his pinky finger than your entire family."

The attack comes after Romney tweeted that if Roy Moore is elected it will be "a stain on the GOP and on the nation."

Romney made the comments after multiple allegations of child molestation surfaced about Moore.

McCain attacked Bannon for suddenly deciding he supports the troops or soldiers.

"Wait, wait, wait. I thought we don't like people who were captured," McCain said, quoting a previous attack President Donald Trump made about her father Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), who was a prisoner of war during Vietnam. "I mean, come on! I'm sorry, but who the hell are you to be here talking about service when you're administration said about my father? Take a seat!"

She went on to say she doesn't like "service shaming" in general and that "people are called when they're called." She called Trump hypocritical for what he said about her father noting that he never apologized to McCain. "So, give me a break."

The group also brought up Trump's five draft deferments, which he received for bone spurs.

McCain said that this whole fight between Bannon and Romney goes to the idea that Romney might run for U.S. Senate if Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) steps down. Bannon wants a more right-wing Trump-supporting Republican in the seat. Romney is not.
