Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) says that an anti-war activist "smacked" her and is pushing for criminal charges.

According to TMZ, Luna, a close ally of President Donald Trump, said a member of the controversial activist group Code Pink confronted her and demanded to know what she did in a congressional hearing with Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

After she tried to exit, Luna said in a video posted to her X account, "I was literally walking, trying to walk away from this person, and they smacked me."

"You don't touch anyone, especially if you don't like what they're saying. You cannot physically harm someone. You can't hit them," said Luna, adding that she handed off all relevant information about the incident to police, who currently aren't discussing anything about a potential investigation.

Video of the incident obtained by TMZ appears to show the activist arguing with Luna and then making contact with her arm.

Code Pink has been involved in clashes with numerous other officials, including Joint Chiefs Chair Dan Caine.
