Principal retaliates against security officer who ticketed her for illegally parking in handicap space
An Ohio elementary school principal is under fire after she allegedly had a school resource officer fired and escorted off the school grounds for giving her a ticket for illegally parking in a handicap-only spot after repeated warnings.
Fox8 Cleveland identified the principal as Carrie Boyer.
According to WMFJ, officer Adam Chinchic had warned Boyer of Jefferson Elementary in Warren to stop parking in a no-parking zone between the handicap spots that made them unusable at least three times, before issuing the ticket that carries a fine of $100.
After learning of the ticket, Boyer reportedly grew upset and then "contacted school administration officials, who had security escort Chinchic from the premises," WMFJ reports.
According to, Michael Currington, a Warren police union representative, the school resource officer who has worked at the school for two years was treated as if he was at fault.
"The principal was warned several times," Currington explained. "Resource officer Adam Chinchic was ordered and escorted out of the building by the school's business manager and the head of security in the same fashion as a criminal."
He added, "If the principal thinks she can park wherever she wishes, what signal does that give to the kids? Whenever you reach a certain status in life, you don't have to follow the rules anymore?"
According to the report, the Warren school district is investigating the incident.
