Republican senators expressed frustration with their House counterparts as Rep. Jim Jordan's bid for speaker appears to be on the rocks.

The Ohio Republican failed to attract 217 votes Tuesday, nearly a week after Rep. Steve Scalise's own effort fell short and two weeks after eight GOP lawmakers joined with the Democratic minority to oust former House speaker Kevin McCarthy – and Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) called them out on CNN.

Republican strategist and former aide to two House Republican speakers, Brendan Buck, warned that there are members of the House who are willing to do whatever it takes to stop Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) from becoming the next speaker.

In the first ballot, Jordan lost the vote with 200 votes to Democrat Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY), who got 212.

The co-hosts of "The View" on Tuesday brought up a recent comment made during a town hall event with Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. A woman in the audience shredded him for his lack of experience at a time when she said Americans need a trusted leader, particularly in foreign policy.

It prompted a discussion about experience and fitness for the presidency – which led to a discussion about some of Donald Trump's recent comments.
