'White women tears trump justice': Daunte Wright's mom slams judge over Kim Potter's light sentence

The parents of Daunte Wright harshly criticized Hennepin County Judge Regina Chu after only sentencing former Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, police officer Kim Potter to 24 months, of which she will only serve 16 months in jail.

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and prosecutors had called on the judge to impose the 86-month presumptive sentence.

Kyle Rittenhouse requests the return of the weapon he used to shoot 3 protesters so it can be 'properly destroyed'

After being acquitted on multiple criminal charges for shooting three Black Lives Matter supporters (two of them fatally) at an August 2020 rally in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Kyle Rittenhouse was praised as a hero in the right-wing media, while many liberal and progressive pundits on MSNBC and CNN were horrified by the verdict. Never Trump conservative Tim Miller, meanwhile, didn’t agree with either viewpoint, describing Rittenhouse as a foolish, misguided kid who got in way over his head — not someone who should be either praised by the right or vilified by the left. Now, Rittenhouse is asking if the AR-15-style weapon he used in Kenosha can be returned to him in order to be destroyed.

In a document filed in a Kenosha courtroom this week, attorney Mark Richards wrote, “Mr. Rittenhouse further wishes to ensure that the firearm in question is properly destroyed.”

The Republican deputy election administrator in Norwalk, Connecticut was arrested for murder and is being held on $1 million bond.

"A dispute between a landlord and a tenant turned deadly in Connecticut. Police arrested 61-year-old Ellen Wink and charged her in the shooting death of her tenant, 54-year-old Kurt Lametta," CBS New York reports.

15-year-old in critical condition after police shooting: Miami-Dade police

MIAMI — An overnight Miami-Dade police chase and shooting near the Joseph Caleb Center ended with a 15-year-old boy in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital Sunday morning, the agency said. Miami-Dade police say the boy was armed when he was shot around 12:45 a.m. at Northwest 56th Street and 22nd Avenue, near the Caleb Center and Annie Coleman 15 Apartments.
