‘Perfect RT talking head’: Kremlin propaganda outlet influenced Gabbard’s views, ex-aides

Tulsi Gabbard, Donald Trump’s pick to oversee the entire U.S. Intelligence Community, was reportedly influenced by the Kremlin-funded media outlet RT, according to an ABC News report citing her former aides. The sentiment may be mutual, as Russia’s propaganda networks have shown an affinity for Gabbard, the ex-Democratic Congresswoman who has recently become a MAGA Republican and vocal supporter of the President-elect.

"Three former aides said Gabbard, who left the Democratic Party in 2022, regularly read and shared articles from the Russian news site RT ... which the U.S. intelligence community characterized in 2017 as 'the Kremlin's principal international propaganda outlet.'"

Trump refusing to 'work the phones' for Pete Hegseth after Gaetz lobbying flop: report

According to a report from ABC News, Donald Trump is leaving it up to Pete Hegseth to convince GOP senators to approve him to be the next secretary of defense with the president-elect choosing to not lift a finger to make calls to help him.

With the former Fox News personality roaming the halls of Congress with his wife to plead his case to reluctant lawmakers who have expressed concerns about his alleged drinking and womanizing history, Trump is taking a hands-off approach, according to the report.

ABC is reporting that the man who handpicked Hegseth to be his nominee to one of the most important departments of the government is disappointed that the ex-Fox host wasn't more honest about his history which included a police report alleging a possible sexual assault.

'Thanks, mom!' Hegseth mom busted on MSNBC for interview making things worse for her son

An attempt by embattled former Fox News personality Pete Hegseth to use his mother as a character witness as he struggles to become Donald Trump's next secretary of defense may have backfired.

That is the opinion of MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski who stated on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," that Penelope Hegseth's answers during a Fox News interview only affirmed that her son has a sordid history with women as she insisted he has changed.

An email from Penelope Hegseth has become a central focus of his suitability for the job after she accused him of being a serial abuser of women back in 2017 which was only compounded by a separate report about his alleged drinking problem.

According to the MSNBC host, Hegseth's mom gave credence to multiple reports of his drunken escapades that have cast a cloud over his nomination to oversee the Pentagon.

'Completely shocking': Political analyst stunned by Trump plan to wage war on critics

During an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," longtime political analyst Jonathan Martin admitted he was astounded that critics of Donald Trump are actually being put in the position of feeling like they may need a pardon from President Joe Biden to protect themselves from his wrath after he assumes office.

During a discussion about Biden giving a pardon to his son, "Morning Joe" regular Mike Barnicle brought up the threat that Trump's Department of Justice will go after Trump adversaries like ex-Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Dr. Anthony Fauci.

"Did you ever think we would be living in an era where we would be talking about preemptive pardons for people like Dr. Fauci or like Liz Cheney?" Barnicle asked.

"It's completely shocking to even write this," the Politico columnist admitted. "The idea of offering people who have not been charged with any crime, there's no even hint of committing any crimes, pardons, because the nature of the incoming administration is such that they're pretty open about the idea of pursuing a kind of third world model of where 'When we come in and go after the old guys.'"

"Now, I can hear what the Trump folks are going to say immediately, which is, 'He's only doing what they did to us,' and I think, guys, that's what you'll hear next year if the Trump folks do pursue these revenge investigations or indictments of 'They started lawfare first, they indicted Trump left and right,'" he predicted.
