Throwing cold water on speculation around Ivanka Trump's political future, the New York Times reported this Thursday that the former First Daughter will not challenge Florida Sen. Marco Rubio for the Senate in 2022.
"Marco did speak with Ivanka a few weeks ago," said Nick Iacovella, a spokesman for Mr. Rubio. "Ivanka offered her support for Marco's re-election. They had a great talk."
The Times reports that a person close to Trump also confirmed the news, adding that a Senate run was something she was never seriously considering.
