A man sought by authorities in connection with the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol was arrested Thursday near former President Barack Obama’s Washington D.C. home, according to reports.

Now, it's being reported that Taylor Taranto, 37, had two guns, 400 rounds of ammunition, and a machete in his van that he appeared to be living in when he was arrested Thursday, NBC News reported.

His van has also been parked near the D.C. jail in recent weeks and he has appeared at protests in support of other Jan. 6 defendants, videos on social media show. Federal prosecutors said that, since Taranto is living in his van, he has nowhere to go.

Taranto tried to flee and was running toward Obama’s home when Secret Service officers apprehended him.

He currently faces four misdemeanor counts in connection with Jan. 6, the federal prosecutor said.
