Trump administration officials are hitting back at Laura Loomer as she attacks the Justice Department over compensation for sick veterans, questioning her ties to a lawyer whose firm represents thousands of claimants, the Daily Mail reported in an exclusive Tuesday.
“She makes it sound like she’s siding with the victims when in fact she’s siding with the lawyers that are trying to take money out of the victims' pockets,” one administration source alleged.
Loomer, a close Trump ally, denied receiving compensation for her advocacy. But she acknowledged a friendship and previous work with attorney Ashley Keller, whose firm represents approximately 80,000 people seeking compensation over contaminated water at Camp Lejeune, according to the report.
“I have not received any compensation from Keller with regard to this project, but I have assisted Ashley Keller with previous projects,” she told the outlet.
The clash centers on the MAGA influencer's attacks against Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward, whom she accused of lowballing victims and handing Democrats ammunition before the midterms.
“He has got to be one of the WORST hires of the second Trump administration,” she wrote.
But Ed Bell, lead counsel for the court-appointed plaintiffs’ leadership group, defended Woodward, calling claims he caused delays “simply just not true.”
The DOJ said it had approved thousands of settlements. Loomer remained unmoved.
“I’m used to incompetent people who work for the president attacking me when they don’t want to take responsibility for their own actions,” she said. “Senior White House officials even tell me that they think Stanley’s handling of this has been atrocious and that he’s completely fumbled the ball.”
