Fans of President Donald Trump’s MAGA movement erupted in anger Sunday after survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes announced a Super Bowl–timed ad accusing the Trump administration of mishandling the Epstein files, including the release of victims’ personal information. As Congress prepared to depose Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, who pleaded the Fifth before Congress on Monday, right-wing commentators lashed out at the survivors, accusing them of running a “psyop,” questioning who paid for the ad, and suggesting victims should publicly name their abusers instead. Survivors, however, said the administration’s actions were meant to intimidate and silence them, highlighting a sharp backlash that critics say reflects how MAGA figures continue to attack victims rather than confront Epstein’s powerful enablers.
