She vowed to fight a landslide defeat in her mayoral run but failed to file the papers to make it so.
Far-right darling Gabrielle Hanson was handily bested at the ballot box, closing the book of a campaign that reportedly included ties to white supremacists.
She then refused to quit, vowing to fight on.
Only as of midnight on Wednesday, she failed to file the requisite petition, according to WTVF.

Williamson County Chancery Court officials told the station that they were unable to find any filing from Hanson in advance of the deadline.
Hanson, who was a city councilwoman and realtor, lost to Incumbent Franklin Mayor Ken Moore with Moore earning 12,822 votes to Hanson's 3,322.
But almost taking a page out of former President Donald Trump's political playbook, she claimed the contest was riddled with voting errors and that machine votes intended for her were automatically credited to Moore.
“Outside of Donald Trump, I don’t think there’s anybody that’s run for office that’s been as persecuted as I was,” Hanson said on the Arizona Today podcast, referring to information about her past going public.
While running in the contest Hanson conceded that she had pleaded no contest to a charge of promoting prostitution in Dallas back in the mid-1990s.
On election night, Hanson hosted a $500 a head event, but barred the press from attending, according to the news outlet.
But her campaign drew national spotlight with a series of scandals and dustups with WTVF reporter Phil Williams who described it as "the most bizarre race that this picturesque Middle Tennessee community has ever experienced."
The candidate also was roundly attacked for appearing at a candidate forum with members affiliated with the Tennessee Active Club, classified as an extremist group supporting white supremacy; including a man named Brad Lewis, who had previously described himself as “an actual literal Nazi”.
