MIAMI — The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office said Wednesday it won’t charge mixed martial arts superstar Conor McGregor with a crime from an alleged June incident in a bathroom at the Kesaya Center after a Miami Heat NBA Finals game.

Why the case was dropped isn’t immediately known.

Assistant Miami-Dade State Attorney Keisha Jackson said that since the case “was dropped,” her office was working on sending the Miami Herald a close-out memo. It also wasn’t clear if the woman who claimed she was sexually assaulted had filed a lawsuit or was seeking monetary damages.
