Mike Pence spotted vacationing in Virgin Islands weeks after fallout with Trump: report

Former Vice President Mike Pence apparently wasted little time treating himself to a tropical vacation in the weeks following his fallout with former President Donald Trump.

The Virgin Islands Daily News reports that Pence this week was spotted at the Seaside Market in Christiansted, which is the largest town on the island of St. Croix.

St. Croix Administrator Sammuel Sanes confirmed to the paper that Pence was on the island, although he did not disclose more details about the former vice president's visit due to security concerns.

Pence's vacation comes just three weeks after a mob of Trump supporters chanted, "Hang Mike Pence!" after Trump falsely claimed that Pence had the power to unilaterally throw out electoral college votes.

This incident reportedly damaged the relationship between the two men, and Pence was notably absent from Trump's big sendoff at Andrews Air Force Base on the day of President Joe Biden's inauguration.
