Newly revealed video showed a furious argument breaking out at a right-wing meeting in Minnesota, as attendees faced the reality that voters did not agree with their agenda.
The video, uploaded to X by Democratic opposition researcher Will Davis, showed the fight at the meeting of the Champlin, Minnesota, Liberty Tea Party Patriots, in response to a slide that revealed voters overwhelmingly prefer that abortion remain legal.
"Instead of looking at the data because you don't like what it says, you're starting to argue the source instead of listening to what it says," someone shouted.
At this point, many in the group started to shout the numbers were wrong, to which the original person shouted, "No, it's not wrong! We just got our butts kicked in an election!"
"Don't shoot the messenger because you don't like the message," he added. "We just got our butts kicked in an election. You're sitting here pouting about, oh, why did this happen? I'm telling you why it happened, and you don't like it, but this is why we got our butts kicked!"
Minnesota, a traditional blue state that sometimes sees close races, saw a catastrophic wipeout for Republicans on Tuesday, with Democrats taking every single statewide office and winning back full control of the legislature. This came despite Republican hopes of making gains by capitalizing on voter anger about a public benefits fraud scandal.
