Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) has come in conflict with Democrats in the state who are trying to get him disqualified from the 2022 election for allegedly aiding in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S Capitol. But it turns out he's alienated some of his own party's voters too.

As part of an extensive piece in Washington Post Magazine, one GOP county chairwoman is done with Cawthorn and wants him gone.

Republican leaders and Fox News hosts have made news over the past several months in the lead-up to Russia's invasion of Ukraine because they've sided with Vladimir Putin. Addressing the recent comments by former President Donald Trump and Fox News host Tucker Carlson, the co-hosts of "The View" couldn't understand it.

Trump said Tuesday: "I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, this is genius. Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine -- of Ukraine. Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that's wonderful. So Putin is now saying, it's independent, a large section of Ukraine. I said, how smart is that? And he's going to go in and be a peacekeeper. Here's a guy who's very savvy. I know him very well. Very, very well. By the way, this never would have happened with us. Had I been in office, not even thinkable. This would never have happened."

QAnon followers might believe that JFK Jr. is going to be resurrected to join Donald Trump on the 2024 presidential ticket, but they really want the crazy flat-Earthers out of their movement.

Weill revealed that there is trouble in conspiracy paradise and while it might be perfectly acceptable to wait for the return of JFK Jr., question the validity of the 2020 election, think that the COVID vaccine inserts a tracking chip in your body, or even that Hillary Clinton drinks the blood of children in a Washington pizza parlor's basement — "the Earth is flat" is too far.

Marysville, California police arrested school counselor Todd Tyler Tuesday after he was uncovered as the person sending threatening messages with racist and homophobic attacks.

According to KCRA, Tyler is accused of leaving voicemails to two softball coaches at Marysville High School, a different school from his. The threats qualified as criminal. He also began carrying a concealed gun in his car.

Judd Legum went down the rabbit hole of conservative Facebook, which has become dominated by conservative media over the past several years since the site began giving the right a technological advantage, Politico reported in 2020. But one company, run by just three people, is dominating the social media site.

Conservative Brief doesn't do any original reporting and mostly just aggregates tweets, videos and other reports with a right-wing spin. They're heavily pushing special counsel John Durham's probe and the conspiracy theories surrounding it. They promote Trump, Mike Lindell, and now even Kyle Rittenhouse. "Conservative Brief has been cited repeatedly for publishing false claims," said Legum.

Writing for Just Security, former federal prosecutor and University of Michigan Law School professor Barbara McQuade penned a model “prosecution memo” outlining the charges that Donald Trump could face for his pressure on Mike Pence.

Leading up to Jan. 6, 2021, the former president pressed his VP to take the dramatic, and illegal, step to change the 2020 election and send the decision back to the state legislatures to decide. If it was sent back to the state legislatures in Michigan, Georgia and Arizona, their GOP legislatures would presumably override the voters and hand Trump a victory.

Washington Post writer Phil Bump noted that Russia has really fallen down on its job with propaganda and false flags in the run-up to the Ukraine invasion.

President Joe Biden made it clear last week that he expected a number of false flags to come out of Russia over the course of the weekend. Indeed, there were, but it didn't have much of an impact over how the impending invasion was covered.

The co-hosts of "The View" attacked Clarence and Ginni Thomas after a scathing New York Times expose revealing the conflicts of interest the Supreme Court justice has.

Justice Thomas is ruling on cases involving the attack on the U.S. Capitol and the election lies that led up to it. Meanwhile, his wife was working for organizations that support the lie and the Jan. 6 attack.

There currently are few COVID-19 protocols in Michigan, with no statewide mask mandates since June 2021 and every county lifting its requirement.

The group has also been hosting daily “slow rolls” around the Capitol building last week, but these daily events also only had a small number of participants.

Former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Daniel Goldman warned that former President Donald Trump's finances are in jeopardy.

Speaking to MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell on Monday, Goldman cited former Trump biographer David Cay Johnston, who wrote over the weekend that the walls are closing in around Trump.

Fox host has been criticized for the past several months for his support of Russia and President Vladimir Putin over fledging democracy Ukraine.

Politico's Andrew Desiderio wrote earlier this month, "Carlson’s views are permeating the GOP base in a way that could undermine Republicans’ efforts to emphasize cross-party unity as they seek to deter a Russian invasion of Ukraine."
