"Last Week Tonight" host John Oliver summed up the 2021 election by addressing New Jersey candidate Ed Durr, who spent just over $2,000 on his campaign and has no idea what he'll do while in office.

While political analysts have clamored to explain the recent election by citing issues and failed Democratic talking points, Oliver proved that with candidates like Durr proved, in New Jersey at least, it was nothing more than turnout.

The campaign against "critical race theory" was started by conservative activist Ian Prior and now right-wing billionaires have adopted the idea as a legitimate wedge issue to perpetuate a race debate and enrage their supporters to vote Republican.

The Daily Beast revealed the anti-CRT movement has been propelled by Fox News personalities while it was the billionaire Koch family who invested in the astroturf campaign against it.

The Ventura County Star reported Friday that a California teacher who reached out to President Donald Trump to help deport one of her students has officially been fired.

Raffensberger, who has been promoting his book on cable news for the past several weeks, attempted to blame "both sides" for lies about the election, citing former gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, who launched several lawsuits after questionable issues in the 2018 elections.

MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan and Ayman Mohyeldin attacked Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for going nuts over a fictional character getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

"Sesame Street" participated in a children's Q&A with host Erin Hill over the weekend and it triggered Cruz, who has come out against vaccine mandates. Many Republicans, in fact, have opposed vaccine mandates, but Big Bird, who is described as a "six-year-old walking, talking yellow bird with long orange legs, standing 8 feet 2 inches," wasn't advocating vaccine mandates. He was helping children understand that shots can be scary.

Elon Musk is now so incensed about the proposed billionaire tax that he's attacking a U.S. Senator's "pp."

In a tweet Sunday, screen-captured below, the Tesla and SpaceX creator claimed that the senator appeared to orgasm as a result of a Nov. 6 tweet addressing the fact that Musk and other rich billionaires don't pay taxes. Musk, who is about to be the world's first trillionaire, was found to owe $15 billion in taxes off of his stock options, reported CNBC.

Fox News commentator and Washington Times editor Charlie Hurt made the case on the network Sunday that musician Travis Scott is responsible for those who were trampled at his concert Saturday night. It's a unique claim because it's one frequently made by liberals alleging that Donald Trump is responsible for the violence at his campaign rallies.

"But in fact, if this guy, Travis Scott, who has a record of trying to encourage his fans to rush the stage — if in fact — and all the videotape will be gone through. All the footage of people, you know, Instagramming and doing stuff off of their phones, it's all going to be looked through. If, in fact, he did that again, he should be locked up. And he should be sued for millions of dollars. He should be sued out of existence if he did this. This concept that there aren't consequences for the things you do and the things you say, especially in a crowded, boisterous, environment like this, it's, uh, it's really shocking beyond words."

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) is launching a campaign against men who play video games, "watching pornography and doing nothing," and aren't married with children.

The conversation came as part of Axios on HBO's interview between Hawley and Mike Allen, who addressed the recent speech the Missouri senator made at a conservative conference in Florida.

For months, math and business teacher Kadence Koen of Springfield School District 186 had been fighting the Illinois state mandate demanding that teachers provide proof of their vaccine or submit to weekly COVID testing. As it turns out, that whole time, she was actually vaccinated.

"Earlier, Koen uploaded a copy of the card to Gina McLaughlin-Schurman, the district's assistant superintendent of human resources," The State Journal-Register revealed Sunday. "The card showed she received her first dose of the vaccine on June 29, with the second dose coming on July 19, well before Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker came out with the mandate about school personnel.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News, former President Donald Trump pledged that he would be very involved in the 2022 midterm election, but after his lackluster involvement in the Virginia elections, it's unclear what they will actually look like.

"We did Hialeah, the mayor, a terrific guy," Trump said, referring to Mayor-elect Esteban 'Steve' Bovo in Hialeah, FL. The endorsement came after Bovo was already the leading candidate to win and it all contained was a statement with a ringing endorsement. It's unclear if there was any money given from Trump's super PAC.

Washington Journal weekend host Bill Scanlan was hammered by a listener on his own show after an interview with conservative Matt Schlapp who went off on a rant about the 2020 election being fraudulent. The claim, which has become known as "the big lie," has been proven false by even conservative news outlets.

A woman from Illinois said that she'd been a loyal CSPAN viewer for 20 years and was aghast hearing Scanlan allowing Schlapp "go on, and on, and on. Even though I got into your program late, I didn't even hear a Democrat come on. All I heard were Republicans and Independents and it seems that times when I tune in to listening to your show that a lot of times I hear that mostly Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents that are getting through on your show."

Addressing questions by the press in his weekly press briefing, House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) alleged that the release of prisoners by former President Donald Trump was putting the United States in danger.

In a rant about President Joe Biden McCarthy complained that "two people on the terrorist watch list from Yemen" came into the United States "illegally from Mexico to California on different days."
