New Jersey farmer pleads guilty to felony in Jan. 6 riot

A 48-year-old farmer from South Jersey pleaded guilty to a felony in connection with the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

Ezekiel Kurt Stecher of Sewell in Mantua Township will be sentenced in September after admitting to one count of civil disorder, authorities said.

He faces as much as five years in prison, said federal prosecutors in the District of Columbia.
