California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s press office took a sharp jab at President Donald Trump after his late-night Truth Social meltdown over the Grammy Awards, releasing a sarcastic, all-caps statement mocking his grievances. The post fake-awarded Kid Rock and Nicki Minaj a “California Music Participation Peace Prize,” lampooning Trump’s habit of inventing accolades. The mockery followed Trump’s furious screed attacking the Grammys, host Trevor Noah, and a joke referencing Epstein’s Island — which Trump falsely framed as defamatory while threatening legal action. Newsom’s office leaned into the absurdity, turning Trump’s grievance politics into a punchline just hours after the president promised to “have some fun” with another lawsuit.
