Although President Donald Trump doesn't smoke or drink alcohol, he is known for a love of Diet Coke and fast food — especially from McDonald's. Republican National Committee Chairman Joe Gruters discussed Trump's eating habits during an appearance on the podcast "Chambers, Changes, & Conversations."
Gruters recalled that recently, "He had hot fries waiting for him from McDonald's. Then, he had a Filet-O-Fish, a Quarter Pounder, and a Big Mac, and I think he combined two of them…. I'm thinking to myself, how does the guy that's as senior as him get away with eating all this McDonald's on a consistent basis?"
The Daily Beast called that combination a "hideous Franken-burger."
Gruters' description of that meal is generating a lot of comments on X — many of them mocking Trump mercilessly.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom tweeted, "Thanks to Donald Trump your Big Mac will now be $9."
Author Barbara Davis wrote, "Come on, cholesterol."
X user Dawn Lee Taylor posted, "Ba da ba ba ba Mcheartattack."
Liberal Trump critic Anna Baxter joked, "I'd like to see him working the window" at McDonald's "when this is over with."
X user Sarah Seaforth posted, "The fish is his nod to 'being healthy.' His brain food is deep-fried and heavily breaded. The orange soda is so he can get his fruit portion in. Wait, why no ketchup for the fries? Or is it just for throwing after he saw the Time magazine cover?'"
Another X user, Pete Masalsky, commented, "Good Lord, *please* tell me that's not real. Dude should have had a cardiac episode by now."
