Roger Stone, a longtime President Donald Trump ally and self-described former President Richard Nixon devotee, called for Trump to fire all Smithsonian Institution employees over an alleged false claim about Nixon's impeachment history.

Stone demanded on X, "President Trump should fire everyone at the Smithsonian about this lie," adding, "More importantly, make the list of those responsible public."

Nixon was never impeached; he resigned in August 1974 before the House could vote on articles of impeachment approved by the Judiciary Committee.

Stone, who was pardoned by Trump after conviction on charges including lying to Congress and obstruction during the Russia investigation, positions himself as guardian of Nixon's legacy. His call for mass firings reflects a broader pattern of Trump allies urging the administration to use federal workforce powers against institutions they perceive as politically hostile.
