An irate Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) again yelled at President Donald Trump during his State of the Union address Tuesday night.

The president took aim at Minnesota rep Ilhan Omar and, in separate posts, denounced a plan for a New York Stock Exchange in Texas and called out Denmark for failing to stand up against Russia in Greenland. The series of posts were made in the early hours of January 19, with Trump calling out Omar.

He wrote, "There is 19 Billion Dollars in Minnesota Somalia Fraud. Fake 'Congresswoman' Illhan Omar, a constant complainer who hates the USA, knows everything there is to know. The New Republic reports House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) refused to give a direct answer when asked if he agreed with President Donald Trump’s characterization of thousands of Somali residents — thousands of whom live in Emmer's district — as “garbage.”

Migrant Insider’s Pablo Manríquez confronted Emmer as he walked down a hall, demanding if he agreed with Trump that “5,000 Somali residents in your district in St. Cloud are garbage?”

The New Republic pointed out that the Republican majority whip “offered a weak, political non-answer.”...

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump spoke the “unvarnished truth” when he openly complained about immigrants from “sh–hole” countries, one senior U.S. House Republican told Raw Story, amid outcry over the president’s spate of racist remarks.

“Trump tells the truth,” Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) said at the Capitol. “He tells unvarnished truth. I have no problem with what he's saying. He rallies the troops like no other.”

Asked what he thought about Trump being accused of being racist, Norman, 72, was unabashed: “People say what they want. This man has brought this country back in less than 11-and-a-half months.”...

A Trump official on Wednesday struggled to defend the Trump administration's racist attack on Somalis.

CNN anchor John Berman asked Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin, "Exactly how much of the Somali American community in Minnesota, an estimated 40,000 of whom were born in Somalia, could be considered garbage," The New Republic reported.

Berman was referring to President Donald Trump's rant Tuesday in which he claimed that Somali-American Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and her entire community are "garbage."...
