Donald Trump's niece on Tuesday denounced former President Donald Trump's recent fundraising effort to sell fans a piece of his suit he wore in his Georgia mugshot, describing it as an attempt to sell "the suit off his back."

Donald Trump has been gleefully raising money on his mug shot stemming from his arrest in Georgia on election conspiracy charges, but history will not remember that. Instead, according to one professor, future generations will be more likely to see Trump as a mere criminal.

Jonathan Finn, a professor of communication studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, said in an opinion piece that Trump’s mug shot’s "ultimate importance is yet to be realized."

"It will likely be at least a decade or two before Trump’s mug shot’s significance truly registers with people. John Bolton also said it was "intended to be a sign of intimidation against the prosecutors and judges."

Beschloss said he agreed with Bolton, and added that "Trump does not do things like this by accident." ...

His official presidential portrait, destined for a Smithsonian Institution museum, remains on track, too, Raw Story has learned.
