Longtime Trump biographer Michael Wolff said President Donald Trump revealed alarming instability with his Truth Social post attacking director Rob Reiner after the filmmaker and his wife were murdered. Speaking on his podcast, Inside Trump’s Head, Wolff said Trump’s decision to invoke “Trump Derangement Syndrome” in response to the killings was unnecessary, self-destructive, and deeply disturbing, likening it to watching an aging parent visibly lose control. Wolff warned that while the reaction can only damage Trump politically, the president appears unfazed. Wolff called the episode a stark example of what he described as genuine derangement rather than mere provocation.
