After failing to overturn the 2020 election and pressuring Georgia officials, Trump’s team filed civil suits for the data. When that stalled, they pursued a criminal warrant, sidestepping local courts. Fulton County Commissioner Marvin Arrington called the move improper and noted the alleged offenses are likely too old to prosecute.
