Suspicious bruising on Trump spreads to his face as speculation abounds

President Donald Trump showed up Friday with a fresh bruise on his left temple, on top of bruising on both hands, and the sight set off new speculation about his health, the Daily Beast reported.

The mark stretched from his cheekbone up toward his eyebrow. It appeared in photos from his remarks to reporters outside the White House and from his arrival in Fort Myers, Florida, where Gov. Ron DeSantis met him ahead of a midterm rally. It wasn’t on his right temple, and it wasn’t in pictures from Thursday when he left for an Iowa rally. The 80-year-old’s hands were covered in beige makeup.

For months now, Trump has been appearing in public with odd bruising on his hands, often concealed with caked-on makeup.

After the bruise was spotted, Trump posted without explanation on Truth Social: “A healthy person has a thousand dreams. A sick person has only one (to get better)!”

“What is up with the bruising next to Trumps eye,” one X user asked, and some guessed he had taken a fall.

White House spokesman Davis Ingle told the Beast only “glue-sniffing degenerates” would push “baseless conspiracy theories” about Trump, insisting he “remains in excellent health.”

Trump and his allies have long pointed to aspirin use and constant handshaking to explain his bruises, but the Beast says discoloration on his left hand and now his face raises questions about that. It also notes earlier concerns about a neck rash and swollen ankles, which may indicate heart problems, and says some doctors have speculated about cognitive decline.

The Beast links the bruise to his grueling campaign travel as he tries to head off Republican losses in the midterms.
