Some of the biggest names in entertainment could face turbulence from President Donald Trump’s latest threat against Canada — including one of the MAGA leader’s closest celebrity allies.
Trump on Monday demanded Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier stop selling its planes in the United States and claimed it would be banned from selling its products in the country. “NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES!” Trump declared. "Their products aren’t good enough!”
But Bombardier’s luxury aircraft have taken off among celebrities and other wealthy Americans, according to a new report in Newsweek. Oprah Winfrey, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Kylie Jenner, Mark Cuban and Kid Rock have all been linked to the company’s planes.
“Jay-Z owns a Bombardier Global 7500, while a Challenger 850 that Beyoncé gave him sits alongside it,” Newsweek reported Tuesday. “Kylie Jenner's pink-striped Global 7500, nicknamed ‘Kylie Air,’ is one of the more photographed private jets in the country.”
Trump’s threat comes amid his escalating trade fight with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. On Tuesday, Canada’s retaliatory tariffs against the United States went into place.
Other A-list celebrities linked to Bombardier model planes include Dwayne Johnson, Elton John, John Travolta, Mark Wahlberg and Tom Cruise, according to Newsweek, which cited Celebrity Private Jet Tracker and Celebplanes.
