‘Beyond unprecedented’: Expert amazed as Trump's corruption puts ruby red Kansas in play

On Monday morning, election forecaster Larry Sabato said there’s a growing reason Donald Trump has even red-state Republicans fearing for their jobs.

Appearing on MS NOW with host Stephanie Ruhle, Sabato, who runs the Crystal Ball political newsletter, said that on top of high prices, voters have finally caught on to what he called unprecedented corruption in the Trump administration.

Asked by Ruhle why prospects for Republicans have become so “shaky” in reliably conservative states like Kansas, Sabato answered, “Top layer, same issues as everywhere else: high prices, I guess imported beef would be added to the ledger there for Kansas.”

“But the corruption which finally people have caught on to,” he elaborated. “I mean, it’s amazing to me that it’s taken this long because it is beyond unprecedented.”

“There will never, I hope, be another presidency as corrupt as this one,” he continued. “President, presidential family, presidential billionaire buddies. So that’s the top layer.”
