Ramaswamy mocked mercilessly after Acton snubs call: ‘Exactly what the creep deserves’

Republican Vivek Ramaswamy faced a brutal round of online roasting Wednesday after revealing that his concession call to Democrat Amy Acton, who defeated him in Ohio’s race for governor, went straight to voicemail.

“We left her a message," Ramaswamy told supporters Tuesday night as he acknowledged his defeat, calling it “a tough night for us here in Ohio.”

The revelation sparked a wave of reactions online Wednesday, with critics pointing to Ramaswamy’s controversial campaign ad featuring Acton’s estranged mother, who accused her daughter of lying about her childhood.

Former Trump White House deputy press secretary Sarah Matthews defended Acton in a blistering post.

“Normally, I think you should always take your opponent’s concession call,” Matthews wrote on X. “But in this case, Amy Acton had every right to send that m---------- straight to voicemail.”

“Absolutely,” Republican strategist Rick Wilson responded.

Occupy Democrats was equally unforgiving, writing, “This is exactly what that creep deserves.”

“This man deserves ZERO sympathy and should be banished forever from the American political landscape,” the progressive account posted, calling the Trump-backed Ramaswamy a “soulless MAGA hack” and “an utterly immoral monster who has been soundly defeated.”

The backlash followed a bitter campaign in which Ramaswamy faced bipartisan condemnation for airing an ad featuring Acton’s estranged mother, who remained married to Acton’s stepfather after he was charged with sexually abusing her as a child.

“Amy Acton letting Vivek Ramaswamy go to voicemail is a lesson for women,” wrote pediatric hospitalist Simi Jilani on X. “You don’t owe people who mistreat you reconciliations, forgiveness or platitudes. You certainly don’t owe people who enable your abuser anything. You owe yourself peace.”

“I love her so much,” Democratic strategist Ally Sammarco concluded.
