A debate between Fox News host Will Cain and Democratic strategist Nomiki Konst went off the rails on Tuesday evening, as the two argued over freedom of speech as it applies to social media platforms, following tech billionaire Elon Musk's interview on Monday with former President Donald Trump.

"The entirety of social media, of Facebook and TikTok and the entirety of tech and multimedia outside of Fox News and all the government bureaucracies adhere to one point of view and echo the views of the left," said Cain, who was filling in for Jesse Watters. "Why so afraid of one conversation between Elon Musk and Donald Trump?"

"I can't wait for the fact-checkers to come up with their response," said Konst. "Google fired their own bias investigator when a Black woman came forward and said their algorithm was biased against women and people of color. And the same thing with Twitter ... Elon Musk decides to ban White Dudes for Kamala Harris and puts out those who have been prosecuted for disinformation and lets him go back online and boost them ... if your ideas are better, have a true democracy and debate them like we are right now, which is wonderful, but it's his way or the highway."

"We welcome any fact-check that wants to challenge any idea the entirety of every tech organization and media is in the tank for the left, and it is news to me," said Cain.

"I wish," laughed Konst. "I wish!"

"If someone like you wants to see more crackdowns on free speech, who will be the arbiter of the truth?" said Cain.

"That's not what I said," said Konst. "It won't be Elon Musk, as he has given money to Trump and praised Donald Trump and his conspiracy theories and gave a million people, at least as of yesterday, a platform to crazy conspiracy theories about the Congo and immigration."

"You are confused," said Cain.

"I am not," said Konst.

"You are offering up the point of view that wants to suppress free speech," said Cain.

"That's not true," said Konst.
