Chicago woman charged with raping a man at gunpoint, stealing his iPhone
A 33-year-old man told police that two women who he thought were kind strangers offering him a ride turned out to be rapists and armed robbers.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the man had been walking on the Near North Side on July 26 when 25-year-old Cierra Ross and her friend pulled over to offer him a ride.
But at some point during while she was driving, Ross pointed a black revolver at the man, Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Amanda Pillsbury told the paper on Thursday. Pillsbury said that she told him to take off his clothes and get in the back seat and have sex with her friend.
The man took off his clothes and was sexually assaulted, a police report said. During the assault, the woman in the back seat allegedly demanded that the man put his hand on her breasts and buttocks.
The women were also accused of stealing $200, credit cards and an iPhone. The man eventually ran naked from the car to a nearby cab, where the driver let him use a cellphone to take a picture of Ross’ license plate.
Ross was later identified in a police lineup. She was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse and armed robbery. Bond was set at $75,000. Ross had previous convictions for misdemeanor prostitution.
The second suspect had not been charged.
