'It is an outrages': Illiterate racist trolls greet Obama's arrival on Facebook with complaints and Trump chants

President Barack Obama finally joined Facebook, and he was welcomed to the ubiquitous social media platform by both fans and critics.

He invited Facebook users to take a video tour of the White House lawn -- and the haters, well, hated that.

"Thanks for nothing!" complained Devin Lowrance. "I have a back yard too! I no longer get to enjoy it with my children and pets because I have to work countless hours to help pay for the health insurance that we have. Not only that, we've had to empty our 401K in order to afford to keep our insurance and our savings too!! So now, not only do I not get to enjoy MY backyard, I certainly won't get to enjoy it in retirement either because we have none!! All thanks to you and the rest of the idiots in Washington."

Many well-wishers thanked Obama for his service as president and even expressed regret they could not vote for him a third time -- while others were counting down the days until Jan. 20, 2017.

"I can not wait for the day, when you are no longer President, and we no longer have to listen to your condescending, dribble. #Trump 2016," posted Shirley Jensen.

One critic, a 29-year-old from Boston, was nostalgic for her youth during the Clinton and Bush presidencies.

"I don't like what our country has become, it is an outrages (sic)," posted Jenn Lee. "It's harder to get a job, and a place to live, I am living from one place to another, barley (sic) getting by. it's not OK for people from other countries to take our jobs, they don't know anything in English, I am an American, but I feel trapped cuz we don't have freedom of speech anymore, we can't say or do anything cuz the true American. and Why is (sic) our holiday traditions getting taken away. we can't say Mary Christmas, and can't celebrate the birth of Jesus, without offending anyone. back when I was a child, we didn't have this. bring back how it was in the 90s-00s cuz we were alot (sic) better then....... #BostonStrong."

Some of the most strongly negative comments came in a post about Obama's second inauguration, in 2013.

"Worst day in American history," said Paul Arnold. "You are a disgrace to the oval office. Please resign."

Facebook users who displayed Confederate flags and upside-down American flags complained that Obama made them sick and had "torn the county apart" -- and, of course, some of those comments were plainly racist.

"Did you take (the Oath of Office) with your Koran???" wondered Frank P. Coll.

"A SAD DAY for America too," sniffed Matthew W. Gall. "The welfare leeches and useful idiots voted yes, the Producers and decent Americans voted NO. HURRY UP January 2017 so President Trump can take over."
