Many fake Donald Trump accounts exist, including fake accounts for the Trump children as well, and they've been causing problems for reporters and activists searching for the latest absurdity from the Trump campaign. But now, the Republican party's own operatives are being duped by the fake accounts too.

"Wow.. this #OperationTacoBowl by the Democrats is extremely racist towards Hispanics. I wonder if the media (paid by Clinton) will show this," fake Trump @P0TUSTrump tweeted last week.

Helen Aguirre Ferré, a long-time journalist who now serves as the Republican National Committee's director of Hispanic communications retweeted it on Monday morning, Politico reports.

Amusingly enough, the hashtag #OperationTacoBowl refers back to the actual taco bowl Trump used to celebrate Cinco de Mayo earlier this year. Leaked emails from the DNC revealed staffers working to figure out how to mock the photo. Presumably joking, Trump's social media director tweeted the hashtag last week saying he's proposed using it to the boss.

Ferré blamed the retweet on not having her glasses on while reading Twitter this morning.
