Lewis Black drops the hammer: 'If you vote for Donald Trump, you're going to go to hell'

Lewis Black is really angry about the election, and he's particularly irked by the parade of incompetent halfwits posing as campaign surrogates on cable TV news.

The comedian appeared Wednesday night on "The Late Show," where he's promoting his Broadway show that runs from this week until Oct. 24, and puzzled over media coverage of the election with host Seth Meyers.

"The analysts aren't enough, you've got to have somebody defend the person who's not there," Black said. "The only time I've ever heard the word 'surrogate' used is 'sexual surrogate.' So whenever I see a (Donald) Trump surrogate or a Hillary (Clinton) surrogate, I feel like they put them on -- instead of Donald and Hillary screwing us, they've sent these surrogates on to screw us. It's still very sexual."

Black admits Trump, the reality TV star-turned-Republican presidential nominee, made his job easier as a comedian -- but he had a harsh message for supporters of the race-baiting schmuck.

"I'm saying this as a friend," Black said. "If you vote for Donald Trump, you're going to go to hell."

Black said he knew this to be true because he talks regularly to God.

"He calls me, he has my hotline, and every time he talks to Mike Huckabee, he calls me up in order to calm down," Black said. "He gets so wound up, he's got all that kind of nonsense going on, and God doesn't have time for that."
