High-powered film producer Harvey Weinstein has reportedly lawyered up to fight imminent sexual assault allegations that are soon to be published in the New York Times and The New Yorker.
According to Variety, Weinstein initially claimed he was unaware of the allegations, but issued a statement later on Wednesday that said "the story sounds so good, I want to buy the movie rights."
Little is currently known about the allegations, but Variety reported that Mia Farrow's son Ronan Farrow is writing the story for New Yorker.
Weinstein has hired famous attorney David Boies, who represented then-Vice President Al Gore in the Bush v. Gore case. He also hired Lisa Bloom, the lawyer who took down former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly for his sexual assault allegations, as well as attorney Charles Harder.
